Marchpane

Marchpane is the name of this mascot. She is my entry for 's contest.

Though the German name 'marzipan' is more popular, Marchpane made me think of the March Hare. xD

The brush in the girl's hand is for painting with food coloring.
She is capable of crying rosewater tears._{(rosewater is used sometimes as flavoring in marzipan)}

Basically marzipan is almond paste, sugar, and egg whites. It is used to make very cute cake decorations and confections~ , kinda like the prettiful pixels in CAO's gallery~ > 3 <)

If you intend to google images of marzipan, please attach "fruit" or "cake" to your query .. there are some really weird stuff marizipan can be made to look like. ;;;

I have to thank ~loli-pan's art for the inspiration. It was fun to have an excuse to design a lolita dress with pastel colors and make the hand poses more elegant/graceful. ; v ; ) <3
